1 egg

1¾ cups flour

The simplest icing is a glacé icing, containing icing sugar and water. This can be flavored and colored as desired, for example by using lemon juice in place of the water. 6 tablespoons butter
1 cup powdered sugar
3 eggs
2 tablespoons boiling water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cream butter; add sugar slowly, beating continually; beat egg yolks until thick and add gradually; beat well; add stiffly beaten egg whites, vanilla flavoring and water. Before serving heat over boiling water five minutes, stirring constantly.
